Premiere\nof the performance \u2019\u2019 Nightingale\u2019\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The play \u2019\u2019Nightingale\u2019\u2019- dramatic-musical play\ndedicated to Ksenija, written and directed by Varja Djuki\u0107,was performed as the\npremiere last night in the full hall of KIC Budo Tomovi\u0107 in Podgorica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a socially responsible company, following carefully all social events , acting responsibly to its community, considering musical heritage as an important part of its identity, 13 Jul-Planta\u017ee accepted with pleasure to be a part of this project, as well. Ksenija Cicvari\u0107, as the most authentic representative of the original Montenegrin folk music, won the hearts of many people all around the world with its lyrical voice of the specific tone, as well as the wines of our company do it today, as the most authentic representatives of Montenegrin viticulture and wine making. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The play\u2019\u2019Nightingale\u2019\u2019 is a multimedia stage\nplay of biographic and music \u2019\u2019images\u2019\u2019 from the life of Ksenija Cicvari\u0107 and\ncity of Podgorica, realised through narration, dialogue, choreography and video\nmaterial. This play shows chronologically growing up of Ksenija Cicvari\u0107 and\nevents that marked her biography which belong also to the historical, social\nand musical heritage of Podgorica, Montenegro and SFR Yugoslavia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the premiere play, awarded with long\napplause by the audience, the cocktail was arranged in the hall of KIC, where\nspectators  exchanged the impressions on\nthe play and continued to revive the memories of the \u2019\u2019Nightingale\u2019\u2019 from\nRibnica, enjoying Planta\u017ee wines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ksenija\nCicvari\u0107 <\/strong>was born in the Old town of Podgorica, in 1929, her father\u2019s name\nRadivoje Bracovi\u0107 and mother\u2019s name Simona, maiden name Zlati\u010danin. She\ncompleted Gymnasium school and her dream to study music has not been fulfilled,\ndue to hard material conditions in her family. She began her singing career since \u201960s at Radio Titograd <\/strong>and\ncontinued it at Radio Beograd in the ensemble of renowned Vlastimir Pavlovi\u0107\nCarevac.Hardworker, reliable friend, nice woman and unenvious colleague,\nastonished the audience at her numerous and unforgettable concerts all over\nYugoslavia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She presented with her songs a completely new\nmusic, disclaiming the opinion that Montenegrin folk song can be played with\ngusle only. She discoveed a unique singing style. Some of her melodies became\ngreat hits, adopted by many singers. However, the greatest part of her songs\nremained her property only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A nightingale from Ribnica, as many called her, enchanted them with the beauty of her voice, making them merry, while her life was sorrow-beaten. She cured her own sorrow with the songs:\u2019 Hey,Fairy\u2019\u2019, \u2019Milica, the only one mother\u2019s daughter\u2019, \u2019 Mother was waking up Sejdefa\u2019\u2019,\u2019\u2019A little girl was walking along the valley\u2019\u2019, \u2019Young Jelka\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montenegrin folk costumes (one of the most\nexpensive in the world) suited perfectly her body,beauty, loftiness and\nmelancholic smile. On the 11th of\nFebruary in 1997, at the age of 72, Ksenija left us \u2013<\/strong> the most authentic\nrepresentative of the original Montenegrin folk songs. She preserved a great\npart of  our folk treasury and her\nrefined taste and sensibility selected skillfully the best. She recorded the vinyl\nrecords and the tapes which were and still have  remained the greatest hits for our people. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
